Project Overview
Mesa Aggregates LLC is a mining reserve expansion in Mesa County consisting of multiple phased extraction areas within the permitted boundary. The project included design of haul roads, phased mining operations, and complex grading to support efficient extraction while maintaining site access and stability. The work also included preparation of a comprehensive reclamation plan addressing final grading, topsoil salvage and redistribution, and revegetation of disturbed areas to establish long-term stability and compatible post-mining land use. Reclamation planning incorporated phased and concurrent reclamation where feasible, erosion control measures, and stabilization methods to ensure successful establishment of vegetation and minimize long-term maintenance. The project also included coordination with CDPHE to meet all applicable permitting and regulatory requirements.
